Questions about Timely

What Timely is

Your church or choir’s programme, published everywhere from one approved source.

For a church or choir, Timely keeps the season’s programme in one approved source that serves the website, shared page and printable handout. You and your AI prepare dates and changes privately, review the exact PDF, then publish the version you approve.

What people use it for

I lead a choir. Can we prepare the whole season together?

Yes. Your assistant builds the whole season from a date period and a recurring pattern, then renders a print-ready PDF for you to look at. Nothing is public yet.

Ask your AI
Plan our autumn rehearsals, skipping the break; show me a PDF.
What it does
  • operator_guide
  • timely_create
  • timely_render
What you get
A private season programme and a PDF to review.
Move one rehearsal and show me what changed.

Yes. Edits are explicit operations against the version your assistant last read; if someone else changed the programme in between, the edit is refused rather than silently merged. Every revision is kept.

Ask your AI
Move Tuesday’s rehearsal to Thursday; keep the rest.
What it does
  • timely_get
  • timely_edit
  • timely_render
What you get
A checked change, saved revision and new preview PDF.
Keep our church programme current on the web and paper.

Yes. Set the requested website origins before rendering, then review the exact revision, PDF and public address. After your explicit approval, draft_approve publishes those stored bytes to the public page, widget and PDF. Later approved changes appear online automatically; paper copies need the new PDF printed or distributed.

Ask your AI
Put my approved programme on our website and give me its PDF.
What it does
  • timely_get
  • timely_render
  • draft_approve
  • timely_get_widget
What you get
One approved programme online, in a widget and as a printable PDF.
Make our course programme look at home on our website.

Yes. Your assistant can set the public page and widget to your colours, font family and light or dark mode. The tool checks text contrast; this setting changes the web presentation immediately and does not restyle the PDF.

Ask your AI
Use our website colours and a serif font for the widget.
What it does
  • timely_get
  • timely_set_theme
  • timely_get_widget
What you get
Matching web colours and fonts, with contrast checks.
I deleted our programme. Can I get it back?

Yes, while it remains in the bin. Your assistant can check its purge date and restore the address, published version and history; restoration is refused if someone is now using that address. For a portable backup, export restorable JSON before you need it.

Ask your AI
Find our deleted programme and restore it if it is still in the bin.
What it does
  • timely_trash_list
  • timely_restore
What you get
The saved programme, address and history, if still restorable.
Keep a copy of our programmes that we can bring back later.

Yes. timely_export supplies restorable JSON and a readable copy; timely_export_all bundles your programmes. To bring a JSON backup back, your assistant previews timely_import with dry_run=true, shows the result, then imports a new private draft. Import never publishes.

Ask your AI
Back up our programmes so we can restore them later.
What it does
  • timely_export_all
  • timely_import
What you get
A downloadable backup; an import creates a new private draft.

How to

How can I use Timely to prepare our choir’s whole season?

Say: “Plan Tuesday rehearsals for this date range, except the autumn break.” Your AI reads operator_guide, confirms dates, times and timezone, and uses timely_create with a bounded recurring series and exclusions. It calls timely_get for the stored revision, then timely_render for the preview PDF. You get one private season programme to review, with no publication yet.

How can I use Timely to move one meeting safely?

Say: “Move next Tuesday’s rehearsal to Thursday; show me the difference.” Your AI reads timely_get with meetings or content, takes the current base_hash and event or series IDs, then calls timely_edit with dry_run=true. It shows the change, commits the intended operation and calls timely_render. You get an updated draft and preview PDF; the previously approved public programme stays in place until you approve the replacement.

How can I use Timely to publish one approved programme everywhere?

Say: “Put this programme on our website and give us the handout.” Your AI reads timely_get, configures only your requested HTTPS origins with timely_set_widget, then calls timely_render. It shows the exact revision, PDF, intended public address and unresolved assumptions, and asks for your approval. Only after your yes does it call draft_approve with that revision’s content_hash, pdf_hash and user_confirmed=true, then timely_get_widget. You get the public page, embed code and approved PDF; a changed draft or PDF needs renewed approval. Printed copies need replacing after an update.

How can I use Timely to match our website’s colours?

Say: “Use these colours and a serif font in our programme widget.” Your AI reads timely_get for the current generation, passes the requested theme to timely_set_theme and checks timely_get_widget. Invalid low-contrast combinations are refused. You get the new web appearance immediately; PDF styling is separate.

How can I use Timely to recover a deleted programme?

Say: “Bring back our community programme.” Your AI calls timely_trash_list, identifies the programme with you and checks purge_at, then calls timely_restore. You get its old address, published version and history back if it remains restorable and the address is free. A refusal explains why it cannot be recovered.

How can I use Timely to keep a portable backup?

Say: “Save all our programmes so we can bring them back later.” Your AI calls timely_export_all, or timely_export for one programme, and gives you the temporary download link to save. For recovery it sends the JSON to timely_import with dry_run=true, shows what would be created, then uses dry_run=false for the requested import. You get a backup and, on import, a new private draft; the readable text copy is not an import format. Treat temporary download links like passwords.

Who is Timely for?

Timely is for organisations, churches, choirs, course organisers and communities publishing meeting programmes. Prepare one draft, review its PDF and keep the approved version available on the web, in a widget and on paper.

Privacy and trust

Does my AI need my approval before publishing?

Yes. Your assistant must show you the exact revision, PDF link and public address and obtain an explicit yes for that version before calling draft_approve. Editing or rendering is not publication consent, and any changed content or PDF requires a new confirmation. The tool relies on the assistant recording that confirmation truthfully.

Is the PDF I approved really the one that gets published?

Yes. Publication is bound to the revision, content hash and PDF hash your assistant submits after your approval. Timely publishes that stored artifact without re-rendering, preserving the version you reviewed.

Is it a calendar or booking system?

No. It does not invite people, hold availability or send reminders. It is the published programme — web, widget and PDF — kept in one version.

Can I manage it by email?

Not yet. Today you work through your AI assistant (any MCP client) or the website.

Can anyone read our drafts?

Drafts and history stay in your account; authorised staff can act on your explicit request. Temporary preview and backup URLs let anyone holding the link download that artifact until expiry. Approved public pages, widgets and PDFs need no visitor account.

Do visitors need an account?

No. Visitors can open the approved public programme, website widget and published PDF without signing in. Drafts and history remain within the owner account; temporary preview links can also be opened by anyone holding them.

Can the AI publish on its own?

The assistant must obtain your explicit approval for the exact revision, PDF and public address before publishing. It cannot treat editing or rendering as consent; publication uses the stored approved PDF without re-rendering.

Plans and trial

How do I connect, and can I try it?

Can I try it before paying?

Yes, a trial without a payment card includes programmes, drafts, PDF review, approval and the website widget. It begins from first use; see the store for current trial duration, allowance and the plan afterwards.

How many programmes can I have?

The standard account limit is 40 programmes. A programme’s widget allowlist supports up to 20 owner-requested HTTPS website origins, with the first used as the PDF’s default QR destination.

Can I cancel?

Cancel from your account to stop future renewals, with access through the paid period. You can export your programmes as restorable JSON; current subscription terms are on the store.
